Powerful, high-quality subwoofers often come with a large size. With the advanced cylinder subwoofer, SVS offers an excellent option for saving space without sacrificing sound quality. For example, the PC-4000 bass tower takes up only half of the floor space with a 16-inch diameter. Its effortlessly powerful amplifier and driver combined with advanced Digital Signal Processing technology deliver high-level audio performance. This technology has been used previously in the SVS 16 Ultra Series. Furthermore, the PC-4000 comes standard with the SoundPath Subwoofer Isolation System, which produces cleaner bass with improved definition and more punch.
Stunning bass in a smaller footprint.
The SVS PC-4000 powered subwoofer amazes with its ability to serve a room with tremendous low frequency output and deep bass extension that is audible and tangible while maintaining accuracy and control, all from a striking cylindrical enclosure with a diameter of only 16". There is no subwoofer in the world that comes close to what the PC-4000 can do without taking up 2 or 3 times the floor space. With the trickle-down technology from the 16-Ultra series, which was named the best subwoofers in the world by nearly every audio publication and industry group in 2017, the PC-4000 shrugs off expectations and delivers an unparalleled level of subwoofer performance only available from SVS.
Unmatched 13.5" speaker design
The PC-4000 subwoofer delivers the full power potential of the Sledge STA-1200D amplifier with precision and control to produce room-enhancing SPLs and effortless low-frequency extension with pinpoint accuracy at all station levels.
Sledge Amplifier has huge output with advanced power management
Conservatively rated at 1,200 watts RMS and over 4,000 watts peak power, the PC-4000 STA-1200D Sledge STA-1200D amplifier uses an efficient Class D design combined with a fully discrete MOSFET output and an advanced Analog Devices DSP engine. The result is a level of effortless power and advanced processing not available from any other powered subwoofer manufacturer.
High power efficiency of fully discrete MOSFETs with the efficiency of a Class D amplifier
Efficiency of a Class D amplifier with the ability to move huge amounts of current through the fully discrete MOSFETs, allowing immense output and precise control for outstanding real-world subwoofer performance at all station levels.
Advanced 50Mhz high-resolution analog audio DSPs
The most advanced digital processor ever used in a subwoofer maintains its accuracy and impeccable sound quality thanks to advanced in-room tuning, optimized frequency response, powerful DSP controls and more.
Variable port tuning modes.
Foam ports come standard with the PB-4000 and allow for variable tuning. Each response curve for the three tuning modes; standard, extended and sealed, is fully configured to the appropriate mode to achieve a balanced and accurate low frequency response with all tuning preferences.
Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) & Ground Loop Isolation.
Serves as a line conditioner, surge suppressor and voltage regulator allowing the amplifier to handle large voltage fluctuations and the subwoofers to function perfectly on any domestic circuit, no matter how unstable the incoming current. An isolated circuit creates a vanishingly low noise floor by eliminating the chance of ground loop hum from external components, resulting in absolute sound transparency.
PC-4000 Smartphone App - The easiest way ever to manage the Subwoofer DSP.
The groundbreaking smartphone app works with Apple iOS® and Android® devices to unleash the full depth, power and nuance of the PC-4000 powered subwoofer by controlling all DSP functions including: volume, parametric EQ, low pass filter, phase, polarity, room gain, port tuning, custom presets and system settings.
SoundPath Subwoofer Isolation system for cleaner, tighter bass with less room vibration
Elastomeric feet on the PC-4000 improve bass performance while reducing floor and wall vibrations, sound artifacts and complaints from neighbors or roommates. Decoupling a subwoofer from the floor results in an inherently tighter and purer sounding bass. It is also the next best thing in terms of sound isolation and ideal for rooms with carpet, hardwood floors or any room where rattles, buzzes or vibrations are present in the room.
Acoustically inert, a rigid cylinder cabinet design, with gate cylinders
An inlaid front panel screen, the first of its kind for an SVS cylinder subwoofer, and a stylish and durable fabric covering of the cabinet give the PC-4000 a refined yet impressive look that visually matches home theaters and high-end audio systems. The unique cabinet design goes vertical to increase cabinet volume to achieve incredible low-frequency output comparable to much larger port subwoofers, but with much less floor space required.
